The ongoing COVID lockdown across China has put pressure on both PC demand and supply. Supply chains faltered again with a shortage of components in the driver circuit while rising inflation and weak consumer spending curbed demand for new personal computers.
On the tablet side of things, the Chinese market saw a 13% drop in shipments as it lost the demand momentum that had built up during the pandemic. Apple ranked first in the Chinese market with 1.2 million tablets shipped for the period and a market share of 26%.
Huawei came in second place with 0.93 million shipments and 20% of the market, while Xiaomi, which revived its tablet lineup last year, took third place with 0.6 million shipments and a market share of 13%.
