15 Effortless Recipes for Lazy TikTok Chefs
Hi, I’m Krista and it doesn’t bother me spending hours going up and down the store aisles looking for 20+ ingredients to make a TikTok recipe that I’ll somehow fail. So, I’ve been creating recipes that taste good, don’t require an “expert” level of cooking – and can be prepared super fast.
In dump bowl: 1 can brown broth, 1 can Italian seasoning, and 1 can dry ranch seasoning. Sit aside. Cut some golden potatoes. Get a boneless chuck or rum and put it in a slow cooker (AKA a Crockpot). Take the spice mixture you left aside and sprinkle it over the meat. Add chopped potatoes, then a few baby carrots. Then sprinkle the rest of the spice mixture on top and stir. Cook on low heat for eight hours.
Giant Buffalo Hot Chicken Pocket:
Take a box of pizza dough, open it, and roll it out on the bottom of an oven-safe dish. Coat the dough with some butter and/or olive oil. Sprinkle some Italian-style grated cheese (a mixture of mozzarella, provolone, Parmesan, romano, fontina, and asiago) over the dough. Next, chop up a roasted chicken and mix it up with some Frank’s spicy red sauce – add it on top of the dough/cheese. Top with some shredded cheddar cheese and then wrap it completely. Grease a little melted butter, Parmesan, chopped garlic and oregano. Bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.
Put the chicken breasts in a saucepan with two cups of chicken broth. Then add about a cup of quinoa and a whole jar of enchilada sauce (I just love Trader Joe’s FWIW). Next add: frozen corn, a small can of green chili, dried black beans, half a can of Rotel, cilantro, everything but Elote seasoning from Trader Joes, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for five to six hours. The chicken will shred / crumble super easy – top with your favorite shredded cheese, mix and serve!
Southwestern Chicken Soup:
In a large saucepan, add 32 ounces chicken broth, about 2/3 cup ranch dressing, one bag of frozen Southwest-style corn, one package of taco seasoning, three packages of rutile, and one shredded roasted chicken. Cover and cook over low to medium heat for 20 minutes. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, cornflakes – whatever you like.
Add some olive oil, a couple of shredded chicken breasts, some minced garlic, soy sauce, a full pot of pad thai sauce (I just used the Kroger brand, it’s good), and about 1 1/2 cups of water to a pressure cooker. Add in a package full of uncooked rice noodles and stir. Hand-cook for 25 minutes or until noodles are tender. While it is cooking, chop the yellow/red peppers, cilantro, green onions, peanuts, and matches. After 25 minutes have passed, add the chopped ingredients (and a little water if needed) and steam the vegetables for five minutes.
Dry some Atlantic salmon and rub it in some olive oil. Place on a baking tray covered with aluminum foil and greased with non-stick spray. Chop some garlic and add it with some Italian seasoning. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and fresh lemon. Put a layer of thin slices of butter in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 400 ° C.
Pour a little olive oil over four chicken breasts and add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Sit aside. Put some cream cheese spread in a bowl and mix it up with a good amount of basil pesto sauce (I like the Classico brand but you can use whatever you like). Fry both sides of the chicken, put in a frying pan, brush with basil and cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake at 350 degrees until the chicken is fully cooked. Top it with Italian herb seasoning and serve with pasta if you like!
Chicken Taco with Sour Cream and Sauce:
Chop up some grilled chicken and mix in some sour cream and your favorite sauce. Pour the mixture into the mini tortillas and bake until the tortillas are crispy. Add shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese on top and serve!
Pour a jar full of your favorite pasta sauce into the bottom of an oven-safe dish. Place a few of the frozen cheese ravioli over the pasta sauce to coat. Put a layer of Italian cheese. You can then put a layer of mushrooms or minced meat / sausage. Add a little Italian seasoning and repeat the process, ending with a layer of cheese on top. Sprinkle the basil and oregano on top and bake for 45 minutes at 400°C.
Chicken Stuffing Casserole:
In a bowl, combine ½ cup of sour cream, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, and sliced mushrooms. Chop the grilled chicken and add it to the mixture. Spread on the bottom of an oven-safe dish. Sit aside. Bring a packet of the filling mixture onto the stovetop and pour about ½ cup of the melted butter over it. Spread this mixture over the chicken mixture and bake for 45 minutes at 400°C until crispy.
Pour Olive Garden Italian Dressing over a bowl of shredded lettuce. Add mayonnaise, garlic powder, oregano, banana pepper, red onion, and Parmesan cheese. Sit aside. Cut a loaf of fresh French bread in half, spread some melted butter and Italian seasoning on top. Add your favorite meat and cheese (I like pepperoni, salami, turkey, and white American cheese) and roast in the oven until the cheese melts. Add lettuce mixture on top and add tomatoes if you like!
Baked black bean tostada:
Fry some chopped red onion in a frying pan with olive oil, then add in a can of drained black beans and your favorite sauce. Let it soak on low heat. Bake flour or corn tortillas flat until crispy. Spread the bean mixture on top and load up on your favorite toppings!
Fry the chopped yellow onion in a frying pan with olive oil and add to it the ground or diced chicken breasts. Add some minced garlic and sesame oil. Stir and add soy sauce, rice vinegar, crushed peanuts and chopped green onions. Put the mixture in a bowl of lettuce and serve!
Sriracha Chicken Taco:
Pour sriracha (or BBQ sauce if you can’t stand the heat) over chicken breasts, add salt and pepper and bake. While baking, chop some bell pepper and purple cabbage. When the chicken is cooked through, chop it up and add more sriracha. Place the chicken in hot corn or tortillas and add the cabbage/pepper toppings. Sprinkle with feta cheese and more sriracha!
Take some frozen chicken strips and pop them in the air fryer until crispy. Top with hot tortillas when done, add shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and your choice of sauce. Very easy and very good!
I know these are all dinner recipes, but I can’t finish this post with one of my favorite and super easy SEMI-HEALTHY desserts. So here’s a bonus recipe: Sour Patch Grapes:
Wash some green grapes, drain the water, and set aside. In a sealable bag, add some dry Jell-O mix – Jolly Rancher is my favourite. Then add the semi-wet grapes to the bag with the mixture. Shake until the grapes are completely covered. Put them in a pan and put them in the freezer for a few hours or in the refrigerator for about four hours. 😋
