How financial literacy can help reduce racial wealth gaps
Who taught you about money and when? Some of us learned about personal finance from our parents or other adults in our lives. Others learned from teachers at school. Some had to figure it out for themselves.
Minnesota does not require students to take a stand-alone personal finance course prior to graduation. But more countries are beginning to impose these categories. Advocates say financial literacy can be a tool for reducing wealth gaps.
