Elon Musk turns on Donald Trump after calling Tesla boss a ‘bull artist***’: ‘It’s time for Trump to hang his hat’
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has turned on Donald Trump after the former president called him “another bull artist” to cancel his deal to buy Twitter and not vote for him.
The former president’s comments came after Musk announced on Friday that he would not buy the social media platform and accused the company of misleading him about its nature.
“Elon, Elon is not going to buy Twitter,” Trump told supporters in Anchorage on Sunday, saying he had said so before. “Well, maybe later. Who the hell knows what’s going to happen? He got a very rotten, neat contract, his contract, not a good one.”
He also criticized Musk for saying he would vote Republican for the first time.
“You know, he said that day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for my audience,'” he said. “I said, I didn’t know it. He told me he voted for me. So he’s another bull artist, but he wouldn’t buy it.”
Mr. Musk responded to a tweet containing the former president’s statement, saying: “It is not true.”
In another response below the same tweet, Musk said it was time for Trump to “hang up his hat.”
“I don’t hate the guy,” he said, “but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat and sail till sunset.”
“Democrats should also call off the attack – don’t do it until Trump’s only way to survive is to reclaim the presidency.”
When asked by a conservative Twitter talk show host about Mr. Musk’s affair with the Trump presidency, the SpaceX founder said there was “a lot of drama.”
“Do we really want a bull in a china shop every day!? I also think the legal maximum starting age for a president should be 6.”
In response to another tweet in which a user suggested Florida Governor Ron DeSantis should run for Trump’s vice president in 2024 and then for president in 2028, Musk said, “Trump will be 82 at the end of his term, too old to be president.” Executive for anything, let alone the USA.
“If DeSantis conflicts [Joe] Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will win easily – he doesn’t even need to organize a campaign.”
Musk had previously announced that his vote would go to DeSantis if he ran for president in 2024.
