Atlanta-bound Delta plane collides with another plane at Miami airport – WSB-TV Channel 2
Miami, Florida – Two Delta Air Lines collided with each other at Miami International Airport on Sunday as they prepared to depart.
One of the two planes, Delta Flight 1654, was leaving Miami for Atlanta and the other, Delta Flight 2911, was bound for Boston.
A Miami Airport spokesperson said the Boston-bound flight was backing away from the gate before departure when it made contact with the Atlanta-bound flight.

Delta spokesmen said passengers and crew members on both planes were able to disembark the plane “safely and normally.”
There were no reports of injuries.
“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and delay in their travel plans following the simple low-speed connection of Delta Flight 2911 with Delta Flight 1654,” Delta said in a statement. “Maintenance teams are assessing the condition of the aircraft and customers have been reaccommodated on new aircraft to their destinations.”
