Elon Musk allegedly had a ‘brief’ affair with Google co-founder Nicole Shanahan’s wife, Nicole Shanahan: report

A new report says that Elon Musk was having an affair with the wife of Sergey Brin.
Last fall, the Tesla CEO, 51, engaged in a “brief affair” with the wife of Google co-founder Nicole Shanahan, The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The outlet said that Musk and Brin had previously been long-time friends, with Brin even giving Musk $500,000 for Tesla during the 2008 financial crisis. The Wall Street Journal I also mentioned that Musk has said over the years that he “regularly crashes” at Breen’s home in Silicon Valley.
The publication’s sources have reportedly stated that there is growing tension between the two poles and their teams after the alleged “call” in December 2021, in which Brin asked his financial advisors to sell his personal investments in Musk’s companies.
Representatives for Musk, Brin, and Shanahan did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment or comment on The Wall Street Journal.

Brin filed for an annulment of Shanahan’s marriage in early January, according to court documents obtained by the people.
Together, the couple share a young daughter. Brin was previously married to 23andMe co-founder Ann Wojcicki from 2007 to 2015, and they share son Benji, 13, and daughter Chloe, 11.

Brin cited “irreconcilable differences” in his split with Shanahan, Business Insider first reported, noting that the couple had common assets but how they were divided was a “determining matter.”
In addition, Brin requested joint custody of their daughter. He also said he was not seeking spousal support from Shanahan and requested that it not be granted either.

Brin and Shanahan have appointed a special “temporary judge” to preside over the case, according to Business Insider.
Brin has filed a lawsuit in the Santa Clara Superior Court where California is dealing with a backlog system. A special interim judge will allow the couple to expedite their divorce despite the backlog of cases in the courts. It also ensures a higher level of privacy.
“The applicant is one of the founders of Google and one of the richest and most famous tech entrepreneurs in the world. Given the high profile nature of their relationship, there is likely to be significant public interest in their dissolution and child custody issues,” Brin’s attorney wrote in a filing, adding: “It is of great concern that Such publicity puts their minor child at risk of harassment and even kidnapping, if details of their daily whereabouts are exposed to the public. “
The Russian-American internet entrepreneur co-founded Google with Larry Page in 1998, and although both stepped down from their executive positions with search engine holding company Alphabet in 2019, Brin still retains a controlling stake, according to Forbes.
