Elon Musk says feds tested him for a year after smoking Joe Rogan’s podcast session

Latest / August 6, 2022 / DRPhillF / 0

Elon Musk had to endure one year of federal drug testing after smoking marijuana on the Joe Rogan podcast.

Musk, who is the world’s richest man and one of the most influential people, appeared on Rogan’s infamous podcast in 2018. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO opened up for an intimate interview with Rogan as most guests do. Musk and Rogan talked about a variety of topics before the UFC color commentator introduced a little weed to the situation. Most people think that this is the first time Musk has tried devil’s lettuce.

After appearing on Rogan’s podcast, Tesla stock fell 9 percent after investors and shareholders witnessed a Musk smoking session with Rogan. It costs the company billions.

Earlier this week, Musk appeared on the “Full Send” podcast and revealed to the Nelk Boys that his smoking adventures on Rogan’s podcast also led to a year of federal drug testing.

“I’ve gotten a lot of backlash, because it’s still illegal from a federal point of view,” Musk said.

According to the billionaire investor, the government drug has tested him for just about everything due to federal contracts tied to SpaceX. It was just bad optics and Musk had to atone for his blatant smoking methods.

“SpaceX has federal government contracts, so our competitors were like, ‘Why don’t you do anything? Rudely look at him smoking weed on Joe Rogan’s podcast,” Musk said.

“They tested me on drugs for everything.”

Musk, who is currently worth more than $260 billion, has recovered well from the crash. However, it just shows how a few moments from Rogan’s podcast can land even the world’s richest man in hot water. With 11 million listeners per episode, the Rogan Spotify podcast has that kind of reach.
