Tesla Corporation TSLA It could set its sights on Canada as the location for the next Giga factory. New reports on the recruitment of conscripts in the country may indicate that an announcement may be made soon.
what happened: Speaking at a shareholder event in August, Tesla CEO Elon Musk We’ve shared hints that the next Gigafactory could be announced by the end of the year. Musk said that Tesla could have 10 to 12 Gigafactories around the world to help increase production of its electric cars.

A Lobby filing by Tesla in Canada also hinted that the company could explore a potential plant in the country.
Tesla has published a job listing for a large scale recruitment firm in Quebec, Canada according to a report by Teslarati. The report notes that posting a job for a recruiter in Montreal, Quebec is similar to the wording of previous recruiters used on Gigafactory sites. Large-scale recruiting firms have been contracted to in areas such as Austin, Texas, Grunhead, and Brandenburg, locations close to other Tesla Gigafactories.
“A great recruit is distinguished by excellence in identifying, attracting and evaluating talent, and by developing deep partnerships with business and within human resources. Tesla is looking for a large number of exceptional recruits who stand out by doing all of the above along with strong business acumen, passion for their profession and true commitment By providing an unforgettable candidate experience,” the job advert says.
A report from Electrek said that Tesla has visited several sites in Canada for a potential plant.
Tesla has not confirmed that Canada will be home to the new Gigafactory. New job listings may indicate that the company will make Canada home to a new Giga factory or additional future Tesla efforts. Tesla has facilities in Canada thanks to ownership by Hibar Tesla Toronto Automation and funding for lithium battery research in the country.

Why is it important: Tesla has expanded its production capabilities outside the United States, with Gigafactory locations in Shanghai and Berlin. Newer international factory locations have helped the company expand production and delivery in regions such as Europe and Asia.
The new Gigafactory location could be important to helping Tesla achieve its long-term production and delivery goals.
Tesla’s third-quarter financial results are likely to be announced in October, and the company will bring its annual Artificial Intelligence Day later this month. It is not clear how and when the company will announce the Gigafactory location.
Recent visits to Canada and official lobbying efforts along with recent job announcements may make Canada the clear favorite.
